Tilt Active Vibration Isolation Using Vertical Pendulum and Piezoelectric Transducer with Parallel Controller

Tilt vibrations inevitably have negative effects on some precise engineering even after applying horizontal and vertical vibration isolations. It is difficult to adopt a traditional passive isolation (PVI) scheme realize tilt isolation. In this paper, we present develop active (AVI) device using pendulum (VP) tiltmeter piezoelectric transducer (PZT). The potential resolution of the VP dependent mechanical thermal noise in frequency bandwidth about 0.0265 nrad, which need not be considered because it far below ground laboratory. sensitivity an open-loop mode, investigated experimentally voltage controller, found (1.63±0.11)×105 V/rad. To compensate for hysteresis nonlinearity PZT, established multi-loop mathematical model hysteresis, designed parallel controller consisting both inverse predictor digital proportional–integral–differential (PID) adjuster. Finally, response working close-loop mode was tested experimentally, AVI showed good performance, can remarkably reduce vibration, example, from 6.0131 μrad 0.0103 μrad.
